LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet – Your Kid’s Favorite New Way To Learn
The LeapPad is an innovative iPad style tablet made just for kids. And, just as many adults find it hard to put down their iPad, kids just can’t seem to get enough of the LeapPad Explorer. The LeapPad is an innovative tablet specifically designed to help your child learn. With the LeapPad, you have access to more than 100 educational books, games, videos, and apps, with more coming all the time. The LeapPad makes learning fun – subjects like math, science and even reading are made fun and interactive to help your child learn.
Out of the box, the LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet comes preinstalled with 4 apps, including the Pet Pad, the Story Studio, the Art Studio, and an app of your choice as the 4th app. Also included is a stylus (including a backup), USB cable, installation CD, quick start guide, and of course, instructions.
The LeapPad Explorer is designed to encourage your child to play and improve their skills by rewarding them for accomplishments. As your child plays games and uses the apps, Badges can be earned for learning and other game accomplishments. The LeapPad gives an indication that a new Badge was earned, so your child always knows when they are making progress. The Badges that have been earned can be viewed at any time by simply touching the star in the top right corner of the home screen. And when the LeapPad is connected to your computer, the badges your child earned will be traded in for tokens that can be used to purchase or trade for new pet treats or micromods (downloads that customize your cartridge games).
The LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet provides multiple learning levels to gradually increase the difficulty as your child’s learning improves. The LeapPad Explorer automatically adjusts the difficulty level of all lessons on the gadget, including the apps, books, and learning games. Your child is encouraged to earn at their own pace.
The one weak point of the LeapPad is battery consumption. Kids find the LeapPad Explorer addicting and have a hard time putting it down, and with bad batter consumption, the tablet will cost you some money in battery purchases. I’d highly recommend that you get yourself a good quality set of rechargeable batteries. A set of cheap low quality nock-off batteries will probably only last your child a couple hours, with a good quality brand getting maybe 6 hours of playtime.
The bottom line is, with the majority of LeapPad Reviews being overwhelmingly positive, Leapfrog has a big winner with the LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet.
